Kazakhstan-Russia Interregional Cooperation Forum
The 15th Kazakhstan-Russia Interregional Cooperation Forum dedicated to new approaches and trends in tourism development has been held in Petropavlovsk.
The event was attended by heads of regions, representatives of government agencies and business communities of Kazakhstan and Russia. Addressing the attendees, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev underscored that the forum has proved its worth as an effective interstate platform.
According to the Head of State, the Russian Federation is Kazakhstan’s strategic ally and most crucial trade and economic partner.
“Today's forum is dedicated to a very important and topical issue - new approaches and trends in the development of tourism in our countries. Tourism is a tool for economic growth even amid global economic crises. Kazakhstan and Russia cannot keep out of these processes. We need to make good use of emerging opportunities,” the Head of State emphasized.
The President of Kazakhstan expressed confidence that the current forum will boost the bilateral interregional business relations and open up new horizons of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia.
