Firefighters battling forest fire in E Kazakhstan for 3 days straight

Firefighters in East Kazakhstan region are still fighting the forest fire in Beksaragaisk district. They have been battling the blaze on earth and from the air for three days straight. over 400 firefighters and 100 units of firefighting equipment are involved. The fire started in one of the forests in Beksaragaisk district at around 3:00 p.m. on April 23. Due to windy and hot weather it quickly got bigger. Now it is covering an area of 2,500 ha. The firefighters have managed to contained the blaze, but the battle is far from being over
