Despite unfavorable weather, the 2018 harvest campaign is in full swing in Kazakhstan

This year, Kazakh farmers will harvest 15.1 million hectares of grain crops. As of 6th September 2018, the area of grains already harvested has reached 3.1 million hectares (21%). There are about 11.8 million hectares of grain crops that need to be harvested.
As in previous years, the grain products will be mainly supplied to the countries that traditionally import Kazakhstan-grown grain (Central Asian countries, Afghanistan, and Iran). Certain volumes of grain will be exported to China, Italy, Turkey, and other countries. 
The country's total grain storage capacity is 26.7 million tons, including 13.7 million tons at the grain collecting stations and 13 million tons at the facilities of the agricultural producers.
