The TURKSOY Youth Chamber Choir performed in the Astana Opera Chamber Hall
The concert was dedicated to the 20th Anniversary of Astana and the 25th Anniversary of TURKSOY. Talented musicians from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, and Tatarstan (the Russian Federation) performed as part of the choir.
The TURKSOY Youth Chamber Choir was founded in 2015 at the initiative of the Secretary-General of TURKSOY, Honoured Artist of Kazakhstan Dusen Kasseinov. Since then, the choir under the direction of choirmasters Elnara Kerimova (Azerbaijan) and Gulmira Kuttybadamova (Kazakhstan) gave numerous concerts in Asia and Europe. Its repertoire includes songs of the Turkic peoples and compositions by contemporary Turkic music composers, as well as masterpieces of Western choral music.
The performance of the TURKSOY Youth Chamber Choir completes “Astana - Alem Dauysy” festival demonstrating the choral traditions of the Turkic peoples.
The TURKSOY Choir performed Azerbaijani, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Uzbek, Tatar, Turkmen, and Turkish songs.
