2nd Asian Open Bird Hunting Championships held in Almaty

Almaty hosted the second Asian Open Bird Hunting Championships. 70 Kazakhstan and 20 foreign berkutchi (eagle hunters) took part in the championships. Participants of the event had to compete in three stages demonstrating their skills in golden eagle, hawk and falcon hunting. Kyrgyz eagle hunters were the best in golden eagle and hawk hunting, whereas Kazakh eagle hunters were triumphant in falcon hunting.
