Kazakhstan’s pink-colored miracle

Lake Kobeituz turns pink every several years. The incledible hue of the waterway is thanks to a microalgae called dunaliella salina. The analogous microalgaes are found in the waters of lakes in Australia, Spain, and Canada.
In Kazakh "kobei" means "multiply" and "tuz" means "salt"
The miraculous lake is located not far from the town of Yereimentau, 160 km of Nur-Sultan city.
