President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev took office two years ago. During the inauguration ceremony, the Head of State assured Kazakhstanis that he would always protect the interests of the country and his ultimate goal is to ensure the unity of society and protect the rights and interests of every citizen. One of the first steps of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev as the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan was the creation of the National Council of Public Trust. As part of the implementation of the Council’s initiatives 17 laws and three decrees of President Tokayev were adopted. Experts praise that fact that financial standing of many Kazakhstanis from different walks of life has improved over the past two years. The Head of State also forbid the sale and lease of Kazakhstani lands to foreigners. In general, over the past two years Kazakhstan has made major strides in terms of social processes, social modernization of the society and fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
