Atyrau to host ‘Ulyq ulys – Altyn Orda’ conference

The international science-to-practice conference ‘Ulyq ulys – Altyn Orda’ was held in Atyrau within the framework of the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Independence. The event brought together about 30 Kazakhstani and foreign researchers from Europe, the U.S., Russia, Japan, Turkey, and Ukraine. Participants of the conference will focus on such problems as the place of Saraishyk among cities of the Altyn Orda, archeological research in the medieval Kyshlak, folklore of the Altyn Orda epoch and many more. An exhibition of artefacts unearthed during the excavations of the cities of Saraishyk and Aktobe-Laeti.
