President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev addressed the participants of the 6th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.

 

An international choir consisting of choir singers from Australia, Azerbaijan, Hungary, Georgia, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, the Republic of South Africa, Turkey, China, Belarus, Bulgaria, Israel, India, Italy, the Republic of Korea, the U.S., Uzbekistan, and Japan gave a performance ahead of the start of the Congress at the hall of the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation.
After the plenary session participants of the Congress took part in several breakout sessions themed “Manifesto. The world in the 21stcentury” as a Concept of Global Security”, “Religions in the Changing Geopolitics: New Opportunities for Mankind's Consolidation”, “Religion and Globalization: Challenges and Responses”, “Religious Leaders and Political Figures in Overcoming Extremism and Terrorism.”
This year the event brought together the representatives of more than 82 countries, delegations from 46 states including well-known politicians, religious leaders of Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Taoism, Zoroastrism as well as the representatives of international, religious and public organizations, such as the UN Alliance of Civilizations, OSCE, UNESCO, the League of Arab States etc.
