On instruction of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science and Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan carried out the special humanitarian operation “Rusafa” on repatriation of Kazakhstan children from Iraq.

After being evacuated from Iraq to Kazakhstan on November 27-28, the children have been spending time at the Children’s Support Center in the Kazakh capital, Nur-Sultan.
Of 14, 10 children are toddlers. Two kids are aged 6-9 and two boys are aged 10-13.
According to reports, psychologists, teachers and medical experts at the center are helping the children cope with stress by engaging them in stress-reducing activities, such as games.
The children will reunite with their Kazakhstani relatives who reside in different corners of the country in the nearest future.
 
14 Kazakh children were repatriated from Iraq within the framework of the humanitarian operation on November 27 on the instruction of President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The humanitarian operation is a part of the Jusan operation which initiated and successfully conducted on the instruction of First President-Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev in January 2019.
