President Tokayev gives exclusive interview to MIR TV Company

During the interview, President Tokayev talked about his father’s participation in the Great Patriotic War. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev recalled that his father and other war veterans were put to the test of the cruel war. He admitted that Kemel Tokayev didn’t like to talk about the war and even more so about his heroic deeds.
The President also confessed that his uncle Kassym perished in a horrific battle of Rzhev and was buried there.
President Tokayev also pointed out that Kazakhstan plays a role of the bridge in Eurasia linking the East and the West.
