Civil War in Syria which started in spring 2011

The anti-government rebels which started on the wave of Arabic spring in March 2011 led to mass riots in different cities of Syria. In summer of the same year the riot turned into large-scale armed conflict.
In total, according to the UN data, during the conflict 220,000 people died. The economy and infrastructure of the country sustained serious damage.
