On May 8, the administration of Astana city organized a ceremony of laying flowers and wreaths to the tombs of the soldiers who died of wounds got during the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945. The ceremony took place at the cemetery of Astana.
Great Patriotic War veterans, families and relatives of the soldiers, deputies of Astana Maslikhat, representatives of the local administration, top management of the city branch of Organization of Veterans, local clergy, students of Zhas Ulan school etc. attended the event.
The participants laid flowers to the tombs of the soldiers. A field kitchen and a performance of the wind orchestra were organized for the veterans.
